I have visited many of these incredible rentals and can verify that they are, in fact, some of the most unique and inspiring stays that you’ll find in the Midwest—the mecca of exciting rentals. So grab your bonfire pals and your favorite pair of sweatpants, and prepare to escape into your outdoor fantasy.
Located only 1-hour away from Columbus, Ohio, Hocking Hills State Park is an outdoor dream full of misty waterfalls, hiking trails, rock houses, and so much more. Hocking Hills is the perfect location to escape for a few nights to reconnect with nature!

The Cliffs - Cantwell Lodge
You may have seen this luxurious lodge floating around Instagram and community pages as one of the best backyards in the United States, and for a good reason. The Cliffs host a breathtaking lodge under soaring trees, towering rocks, and rushing waterfalls.
There are two seasonal waterfalls on the property, one that creates a unique swimming experience. This incredible blue pool is heated during most seasons and eco-efficiently maintained to ensure guests have the most enchanting experience. In addition, Cantwell Lodge is large enough to host 18-people parties with tons of cozy sleeping spaces, iconic full-length windows in many bedrooms and living rooms, a hot tub, AND a secret game room.
If traveling with a smaller group, you can also visit their newly built bungalows that make you feel like you were picked up and dropped into the middle of the Swiss Alps.

Hocking Hills Treehouse Cabins
Whether you are looking for a unique family vacation, a romantic getaway, or time to unplug and reconnect with nature, our one-of-a-kind Treehouses will take your stay in the Hocking Hills region to a new height.
The Treehouses are located on a beautiful & secluded 15-acre lot with functionality in mind. During my last trip to Hocking Hills, I stayed at the Maple Treehouse, with two bedrooms, a wood-burning hot tub, a fire pit, swing and stocked with board games for hours of entertainment.

The Acres Cabin is a private, secluded, five bedroom cabin in the heart of Hocking Hills. The cabin is located on 78 acres of private land with panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys. This three-sided deck is 1025 square feet and offers a gas grill and outdoor fireplace. There is also an outdoor hot tub for soaking under the stars after a long day of hiking or exploring the area.
The interior features vaulted ceilings with exposed beams and knotty pine walls that give the cabin a rustic feel. Five bedrooms and three full bathrooms comfortably accommodate up to fourteen guests. The living room has a large stone fireplace with a wood-burning stove for those chilly winter nights when you want to sit by the fire and relax.
The Acres Cabin is located about six miles from Old Man’s Cave and Ash Cave, making it an ideal location for families who want to enjoy all that Hocking Hills has to offer without feeling like they’re too far away from civilization!

The Oasis Treehouse
If you are feeling adventurous or searching for the perfect romantic getaway, you have to check out The Oasis Treehouse, located on the shores of Lake Logan. You can also book a session in one of their sauna pods, one of my first stops when visiting Hocking Hill, and are open for anyone to book. You don’t even have to be a guest at the property! You can enjoy these barrel-shaped, cedar saunas featuring a floor-to-ceiling fish-eye window facing out into the majestic forest. This is a drive-up experience; no hiking is required. Step through the changing chamber to the sauna – hot and waiting!
The Block House
The Blockhouse was designed in 2021 by owners, Kevin & Lisa Schmidlin. As the name implies, the building “blocks” of the home interlock together to create a fun, modern twist to a traditional cabin. It offers a little bit of everything to everyone in this secluded retreat nestled in the woods. Whether you seek refuge tucked away in the comforting cantilevered bedrooms or perhaps a touch of inspiration perched atop the scenic rooftop lounge, you’ll have plenty to enjoy here at The Blockhouse, both inside and out.

Cozy Cabins Hocking Hills
Hocking Hills Cozy Cabins is a family-owned cabin rental nestled on 32 acres of land, located 6 miles away from Old Man’s Cave. This place offers a hot tub, wood burning outdoor fireplace, an indoor LP fireplace, an outdoor dining area with string lights, an outdoor soaking tub, and more!
The Morning Glory, which is their french inspired cottage, is a 2-bedroom cabin that can sleep up to 4 people comfortably. It features two full beds in one room and one queen bed in the other. The kitchen has everything you need for your stay. In the warmer month, pour yourself a bath in their outdoor tub while drinking tea and enjoying the calmness of nature!
